Ok Folks, I haven't done much gun work in the last several years, but finally feeling much better and health is getting much better, so I thought I would take a A2 Upper I had from a customers rebuild from several years ago and build a complete A2 . First I have to to get all the rattle can paint off the upper and see what I have to work with, then take a inventory of what I have in part and what I need to order! Posted a photos of the nasty upper!

PART 1: 7.62x39 UPPER BUILD

I decided to build another 7.62x39 Ar-15 upper. And this time I wanted to try a brand of barrel I have never used before. I have used AR-15 parts in price range that covered the spectrum from top to bottom. I am not going to go down the rabbit hole and get into price verses quality debate or any of that, but I will say I have learned in the AR-15 arena, you
don't have to buy top self parts to build a quality reliable firearm.
So on this project I decided I wanted to try a barrel and BCG from a company that sells American made parts, but on the lower end of the price range, and that would be Bear Creek Arsenal.I have never had any experience Bear Creek but I have read several reviews on this company and for the most part, people who bought parts liked them, some reviews stated they had a issue and the customer service wasn't up to par. In the reviews on their web page, it appeared that someone with the company was answering all the negative reviews and looked like they were trying to make things right.
OK , so on to my experience, so I place my order and three days latter I had a package on my porch, so I give them a A+ on timely shipping. When I opened the package I wasn't impressed with the packing of the products, the barrels were just laying in the box on a piece of brown paper, with the BCG,s wrapped in foam wrap in between the two barrels, the BCG,s were well protected, but I felt the barrels should have been also, and the threads should have had something on them. I give them a C- on packing.
All the rest of the parts used for the build are from Anderson Rifle Company, I will give my review on them one day in the future. I posted some pictures of the parts and watch for Part 2 soon.
