📍 THURSDAY 10AM-NOON: BOOT CAMP (Limited to 6 players!) - Designed specifically for onboarding brand new players and novices. Get the reps you need to start playing with confidence! 🚀

📍 SATURDAY 9-10:30AM: 101 BEGINNERS (Weekend Edition) - Foundational training for those who prefer weekend mornings!

​As you know, the best gift that you can give your best friends, family, and co-workers is learning how to play pickleball. Help them get a jump on their New Year's resolutions by inviting them to our Winter Boot Camp starting tomorrow from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Dripping Springs Racquet Club. It will be a comfortable 57 degrees, perfect for getting them on the court.

This isn't just practice; it's a final tune-up with an experienced DSRC instructor on the very courts where The Kitchen Open will be held. You'll master key skills to help you perform under pressure, including:

The Third Shot Drop: Repetition drills on both forehand and backhand to get you to the net confidently.

Transitioning to the NVZ: Learn the footwork and shot selection to effectively move from the baseline.

Strategic Kitchen Play: Master tactical dinking to control rallies and create openings.

Live-Play Simulations: Practice teamwork and communication under tournament pressure.

By training on your "home court," you'll build confidence and eliminate last-minute surprises on tournament day.

Wednesday's Pickleball Agenda!

​Are you catching these beautiful sunrises in these last few days? It's the perfect day to play the sport you love! I am looking forward to seeing you at the Dripping Springs Racquet Club this Wednesday for a day of fun and great pickleball.

​Morning Open Play: Start your day on the courts with our Intermediate & Advanced Open Play from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. We use a Winners Stay, Splitters Go rotation to ensure dynamic, competitive, and fair matches for everyone.

​Learn and Play: For new players, our Learn and Play (Beginners) session from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. is a unique opportunity to get hands-on coaching and immediate feedback. Think of it as having a private coach in your ear, guiding you through every point to help you build confidence and apply what you've learned in a game setting.

Fall Pickleball Opportunities for Beginners
at Dripping Springs Racquet Club.

This fall, our pickleball program offers a comprehensive schedule designed to support and challenge beginning players. Beginning Players will find ample opportunities for instruction, dedicated beginner play, and chances to mix in with other skill levels.

Instruction: Pickleball 101 Clinics are offered on Monday evenings, as well as Tuesday and Saturday mornings.

Dedicated Play: Beginner-only open play sessions are available on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Mixed-Level Play: You can practice with all skill levels at the Practice and Play sessions on Thursdays and during Open Play on Fridays.

Match Play: Starting in October, you can join Sunday morning match play to experience competitive games.

The Kitchen Open: September 25th-28th at DSRC (Dripping Springs Racquet Club).

The Kitchen Open Austin is our largest event of the year and the top amateur players from across the country will compete in age and skill-based divisions for some of the best prizes in pickleball, including a $25,000 winner-take-all prize in the Open Division.

This fall’s tournament promises to be one of the most exciting yet. Players can look forward to divisions organized by age (Open and 40+), skill level (3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and Open), and gender/mixed doubles.

Each participant is guaranteed a minimum of five games to 15 using side-out scoring, the equivalent of seven games to 11. Division winners will take home custom Joola paddles and additional prizes, while all participants will receive complimentary swag bags. The event will conclude with a Finals Party at The Kitchen HQ, where the top eight teams will compete for the $25,000 grand prize.

Recently voted the best tournament in Austin, this is an event you won’t want to miss!
