One thing I want to continue doing this year is saying THANK YOU to the amazing local businesses we have here in Hays County. I want to shop local more often and let these business owners know what a difference they make in our community.

So this month I decided to choose one business and give them a beautiful floral arrangement.

I stopped by Ellipsis Boutique here on Main Street in Downtown Buda and brought them a bouquet of flowers as a simple “Thank You” for giving our area a great place to shop for casual and cute clothing and accessories.

Last Summer, I briefly met Amy, the local owner of Ellipsis, at a local gym when we happened to both attend the same group workout. Obviously it takes a lot of mental grit to run a small business but she really powered through that workout, too! 👏🏼 She seemed so down to earth, and I had been intending to check out her shop for so long. After meeting her, it solidified my decision to just do the dang thing.

Later in the summer, I stopped in and Ana helped me pick out an outfit for a special occasion I was attending. I still have it and am so ready for Spring/Summer so I can wear it again! More recently, Erin helped me with my search for jeans, and I also walked out with an initial necklace. Both Ana and Erin provided such a fun, laid back, and helpful shopping experience!

On this particular trip, I met Katie. She mentioned it was her last day because she’s due with her baby boy very soon! How exciting! Connecting with her briefly was a highlight of my day.

Not only can you find cute clothes at Ellipsis, but their team are experts at helping curate the perfect outfit and making it a fun process!

So from one “neighbor” to another, THANK YOU Amy for everything you do at Ellipsis Boutique. You make Buda a special place to live, work, and play!

🎉10 Things I LOVE About My Birthday Girl 🎉

In honor of my daughter turning double digits this month, I’m sharing 10 of my favorite things about her!

1. Harper has a witty sense of humor that brings so much joy. It reminds me of my husband and my mom.
2. She has the absolute dreamiest dimples of all time and lights up every room she enters! ⭐
3. She’s got game. The highlight of my day on Saturday, February 1st, 2025 was watching her steal the ball on defense, dribble all the way down the court, land a jump stop, and use the backboard to score. I’m so proud of her hustle and hard work! 🏀⛹🏼‍♀️
4. She challenges and inspires me to be a better human.
5. She is a little momma. Always playing with and taking care of the younger ones around her.
6. She’s got her own style and owns it like a boss. I love seeing her play dress up in my clothes, shoes, and accessories. Touring model homes with her is a special treat! 👗 👠💍💎🏠
7. She’s a reader and a leader.
8. She’s hospitable, welcoming, and encouraging towards others.
9. She’s thoughtful and resourceful, making the best with what she has been given.
10. She tries new things and explores her limits… unless it’s food. She may be a chicken nugget girl for life. 😜
