🐝 🐝 Bumblebees are extremely beneficial insects as they are responsible for a lot of pollination. Additionally, they are very passive and are rarely responsible for bee stings.

Our first recommendation is always to NOT kill these valuable beneficial insects.

After educating our client on the benefits of leaving the bumblebees alone and the few possible risks involved in doing so, the decision was made to have us eradicate them based on the nest's location and the safety of the children that will be playing there all summer.

All efforts should be made to educate individuals about preserving pollinators like Bumblebees. Without pollination our means of growing and providing food for the human population would greatly suffer.

Next time you see a bumblebee say "Thank You!" to her as she is one of the most important spokes on the wheel that turns to keep our society alive and thriving.

🐞 Native Ladybugs, or Lady Beetles, are considered a beneficial insect which help rid an area of crop-damaging aphids, mealybugs and other destructive insect pests. The adult ladybugs feed on these insects. They also lay their eggs among the aphids or other prey so the emerging larvae can feed on the insects.

Asian Lady Beetles can bite hard enough to break human skin, causing minor, short-lived discomfort. These bites happen when the beetles are searching for moisture or food. They can secrete a strong-smelling yellowish liquid from the joints of their legs.

These over wintering invaders congregate on walls of structures in the fall. If not treated before the weather gets colder they can make their way inside these structures to hibernate for the winter. These bugs will emerge inside the living spaces of homes during late Winter and Spring months becoming quite a nuisance.
