Snow is pretty much gone, can’t wait for Spring and Summer. Clifford needs fresh air, doors off and roof off. 🤩❤️

All the new drum brakes hardware is in. Spring might bring a disc brake conversion for extra stopping power but currently the drum brakes from PowerStop brakes are doing just fine.

So things are looking better. I removed the steps, broke them off the metal and then had to cut, force, all sorts of PITA stuff to let the bolts lose as they were just spinning thanks to rust or maybe because it was one of those junk inserts rivet thingies. Not sure that was the greatest approach. Anyways the side steps are gone.

We also took off the body bushings that were rusted and came with the bits of rusted off torque boxes metal. 😂🤦🏼‍♂️ ohhh please someone keep me going on this, it’s starting to feel like a project.

Flipped the cab and well it’s not looking so pretty either but we knew that. That’ll get worked on as soon as the frame is done.

I’ve put jacks and support under the transmission and rear so that when we cut the frame on the bottom the skid plate will come with it since the bolts are just spinning.

Now that I sanded off the frame and marked off how much I got to cut off to start with, we will be using plasma cutter to make things easier, hopefully the learning curve on that isn’t too long. I gotta get moving, summer in Buffalo doesn’t last forever.
