Saturday's The Nomad Project thank you and expressions of gratitude goes to Kristy Blask . Kristy put together a load of clothing, bedding and children's books that will go to Haven House, the domestic violence shelter and Compass House, the teen and young adult shelter. Earlier today, I was able to make a run and dropoff to Friends of The Night People with donations from earlier this week. The work of the Project goes year-round. Going back to November 1st, when this year's big push started, this will make full truck load number 75. 75 full truckloads of help and hope and necessary things to sustain life that you all have entrusted me with to help the victims of domestic violence; women, men and children who are homeless, or who have nowhere warm and safe to sleep, don't know where their next meal is coming from. I am humbled by you all
When I started Nomad back in 2017 on Christmas day, just by myself, and just a few things I had no idea what would happen over time, no grasp of how big and permanent it would become. I made a promise and gave my word that no matter what, I would always make sure Nomad was there for the people who needed it, that every penny, every dollar given, every item donated would go directly to the people who needed it, and that there would never be any political or religious or corporate sponsorship or involvement, that every cent of admin cost, the mailings, the flyers, every tank of gas would come out of my pocket and be funded by whatever job I had. Thank you all for believing in me, and knowing that I don't break promises, and I keep my word. Thank you all for growing this into something the people who need Haven House, Compass House, Friends of The Night People, the. Buffalo City Mission, Altamont Veterans Services, and other agencies and shelters in the city can count on, and thank you for helping me grow as a human and give back to the world. Everyone has opinions, and these days, they're more than likely prone to splashing those opinions around. Me? I know the actua, reall work of changing the world is out in the streets and in the trenches, and my respect goes to those who take the time to get things together and get them to me, knowing I'll get them where they're needed, and those of you out in your own communities working to help people and change lives. People are good, if you give them the opportunity to be. Thank you.

Today's The Nomad Project thank you goes out to John Stanaszek who worked with Bomba's socks to have 12 cases of socks delivered to the Project. In this blizzard that's gripping the nation, these socks will go a long way towards helping people

Wednesday's The Nomad Project thank you and update goes out to ( from left ), Donna and Randy Zimpfer, Holly Shaw and the staff at Alta Mont Veterans Services. Today was enough to fill the entire truck, cab and bed and take care of: Haven House, Compass House, Friends of The Night People, The Buffalo City Mission and Alta Mont. Things like strollers, car seats, swings, clothes, personal toiletries, socks and more socks. ( Additional note about Alta Mont, they have open beds right now for homeless vets, if you know one, DM me ). Y'all are so awesome and such wonderful human beings, thank you so much! You make the world better, one person, one trip at a time. It all adds up
