Happy to say the teen advisory group programs in Buffalo & the Aurora Town Public Library received funding from this grant. Thank you Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo!

Young people across Western New York just made more than $2 million in grant decisions.

Through With Youth For Youth (WYFY), a 24-member Youth Advisory Board of young people ages 13–17 designed the grantmaking process, reviewed applications, and selected 40 organizations to receive funding for out-of-school time and youth sports programs across the nine-county region.

This was not symbolic input.

Youth evaluated programs based on what they believe young people need to learn, belong, lead, play, and thrive, including meaningful youth voice, clear benefits for young people, strong community impact, responsible use of funds, and geographic representation across Western New York.

The grants, funded by the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation and distributed through the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, will support programs serving youth ages 5–18 across Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming counties.

Real decisions. Real dollars. Led by young people.
