🌞🦀 Honoring Lilith & the Sun in Cancer

As the Sun moves into Cancer, we enter a season of intuition, emotional wisdom, nurturing, and sacred self-care. Cancer reminds us that true strength is found in vulnerability, deep feeling, and creating spaces where we feel safe to be our authentic selves.

This year, we also honor the powerful energy of Lilith—the untamed feminine, the voice that refuses to be silenced, and the part of ourselves that chooses authenticity over approval.

To celebrate this potent cosmic pairing, we're brewing our Cancer Ritual Blend as a sacred tea ceremony. Each sip invites you to connect with your inner waters, honor your emotions, and embrace the wisdom that lives within your heart.

☕ Set an intention.
🌙 Light a candle.
🦀 Sip slowly.
✨ Ask yourself: Where am I being called to nurture myself more deeply? What truth is ready to emerge?

Let this blend be a reminder that softness is strength, intuition is wisdom, and your sensitivity is a gift.

Happy Cancer Season and Blessed Lilith celebrations from Chakra Buds. 🌿💜

Today was our first day of production in our new location! That's right back home to where it all began. Where my love for trees and nature was born, the same land where I used to escape. And in the exact location where we spent so much time with Dad in the "barn".

It has taken a while to be able to go in there since he passed and to really feel like there is life again. He would be proud. I think he was there in that Cardinal that stayed the whole time just passing between my car and the old truck he used to drive. I am looking forward to spending more time, creating in this space and having room for expansion.

Today we blended our Sun and Moon Blends which was fitting because they are both mine and his signs. Cancer 🌞 for me and Capricorn 🌕 for him. The universe really sent a lot of messages today and we are still downloading! And yes...we were the opposites that always attracted once we could put down our egos!

This is how I will honor him this Father's Day! He was starting to even grow cannabis and getting really good at it because you can take the farmer off the farm but you can't take the farm out of the farmer. He really had the green touch!

Thanks Dad! ❤️

Come and get these limited, specially crafted Ritual Blends for the Cancer Season and our upcoming Full Moon!!!!!

Living with Coronary Artery Disease was never on my BINGO card, but since it showed up, it has taken me on a journey of learning what balance truly means.

What is the right amount of activity? Am I eating enough protein? Too much sugar? Getting enough iron as a vegetarian? Every choice seems to come with a question, and every answer leads to another opportunity to learn.

Over the last four years, I've worked hard to make healthier choices, and the results have shown that I'm moving in the right direction. I've become stronger, more mindful, and more intentional about my health. Yet the reality remains that my heart has been working overtime. The progression of Coronary Artery Disease and the early stages of heart failure have led me to face new challenges and make difficult decisions about how I move forward.

What this experience has taught me is that healing isn't about perfection—it's about adaptation. It's about listening to your body, honoring its limits, and finding gratitude for what it can still do. Some days that means pushing forward. Other days it means resting without guilt.

This journey hasn't been the one I would have chosen, but it has taught me resilience, perspective, and the importance of caring for myself as intentionally as I care for others.

Advocating for Yourself in the Healthcare System

One of the hardest lessons I've learned is that sometimes you have to become your own advocate.

Ask questions.
Get a second opinion.
Request your records.
Speak up when something doesn't feel right.
Bring someone with you to appointments.
Trust your intuition while working with your healthcare team.

As a heart attack survivor, I've learned that no one knows your body, your symptoms, or your lived experience better than you do. Advocacy isn't about being difficult—it's about being an active participant in your own care.

The healthcare system can be overwhelming, confusing, and at times frustrating. Yet there are also incredible providers, life-changing treatments, and moments when persistence leads to answers and healing.

Let's start a conversation.

👇 What has been your biggest challenge when navigating healthcare?

👇 Have you ever had to fight to be heard, get a diagnosis, or access treatment?

👇 What advice would you give someone learning to advocate for themselves?

Share your struggles, your successes, and your lessons learned. Your story may help someone else feel less alone and more empowered to speak up.

Your experience could inspire someone else to keep pushing for the care they deserve. 💙

Finding Calm in Nature's Embrace

When stress, overwhelm, or panic begin to take hold, two of my favorite herbal allies are Skullcap and Passionflower.

Skullcap is known for its calming and nervine-supportive properties. It may help quiet a racing mind, ease nervous tension, and support the body during periods of emotional stress.

Passionflower is often used to promote relaxation, reduce restlessness, and encourage a sense of peace. It can be especially helpful when anxiety feels like it is taking over your thoughts.

Together, these herbs create a gentle yet powerful partnership. Skullcap helps soothe the nervous system while Passionflower encourages relaxation and emotional balance. Many herbalists turn to this combination when seeking natural support for occasional panic, nervousness, or feelings of overwhelm.

☕ A warm cup of tea can become more than a beverage—it can be a ritual. A moment to slow down, reconnect with your breath, and remind yourself that calm is available even in challenging moments.

As always, herbs are not a replacement for professional medical care. If you experience severe anxiety or panic attacks, speak with a qualified healthcare provider.

What are your favorite herbs for finding calm and balance?
