La práctica artística del colectivo CaldodeCultivo quiere fortalecer las luchas que planten frente a la dominación capitalista, colonialista y patriarcal. En sus proyectos despliegan dispositivos de contrapropaganda y agitación popular con los que ejercitar, cual deporte de combate, la imaginación política radical.
Este libro es una narración, a muchas voces, de la experiencia del colectivo a partir de un recorrido por sus proyectos más significativos de la década 2013-2023. En él, además de CALDODECULTIVO, diversxs investigadorxs y activistas reflexionan sobre una práctica artística que es, como se comprobará, necesariamente conflictual.
Aquí se levantan las imágenes de unos proyectos que todavía hoy son afectos y resistencias en movimiento. Si estas páginas logran agitar a quien las lea, con parte de la fuerza con que agitó a quienes vivieron los proyectos, su labor estará hecha.

Transfeminist Provocations Against Fascism is an encounter that explores the work of transfeminist and q***r artists fighting through artistic interventions the growing fascist affects, policies, and discourses that reactionary forces worldwide are imposing with regard to gender and sexuality. The featured artists and scholars use and study creative activism to contest fascist discourses and practices in our daily lives and in the political arena. The encounter consists of a series of public debates, both online and in person, about the role of art and humanities in the resistance against fascism and the creation of transfeminist futures with a strong Latin American accent.

Some of our guests will be joining us remotely, however, we want to create a safe and critical face-to-face space to reflect and experience together the works of the invited artists, activists, and scholars, focusing on how can we connect these global struggles to local matters. We will meet in three Buffalo artistic and cultural spaces that are important nodes in the local arts and culture ecosystem.
