How often do you practice accuracy?

I didn't realize how much switching rackets could mess with my timing.

For the longest time i used the Babolat Aero 98 as my main racket for hitting, coaching, and match play. Even though i would win and hold great rallies, it felt like something was missing. Almost like a connection to the racket... And this is whee an unforseen ally was introduced to me.

Enter the Wilson Blade 100 v8. I'm not gonna lie... As soon as I picked up the stick, the jarring and unforgiving feeling sort of wrecked my wrist and shoulder. But as I learned how to use this instrument of precision, it forced me to clean up my technique, timing, and positioning to create better and stronger shots.

What racket have you unexpectively come to use? Comment below.

A favorite drill of mine is to practicing volleys cross court from the service line. The goal is to become more aggressive after each person touches the ball. Doing so will build the habit of aggressive yet dependable volleys during matches.

All this weather and cold air is finally caught up to me. Here are three tips to help reduce symptoms and get back on to the court sooner.

Tennis is a game built on refinement.
Every swing, every step, every decision is a chance to get a little better.

You don’t master tennis overnight. You repeat the fundamentals. You adjust your footwork. You fine-tune your timing. You learn from missed shots and long rallies. The best players in the world aren’t chasing perfection—they’re committed to constant improvement.

That’s what makes tennis such a powerful teacher. It rewards discipline, patience, and effort over time. You show up, do the work, and trust that progress compounds.

And the truth is, the game never stops changing. New opponents. New challenges. New versions of you on the court.

Tennis evolves—and so should you.
Stay hungry. Stay coachable. Keep refining.

Because growth isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing the basics better, every single day.

Tennis isn’t just a workout for your body—it’s a reset button for your mind and a long-term investment in your health. Regular play has been linked to lower stress, better mood, and reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression, thanks to the combination of movement, focus, and endorphin release. Because tennis is a social, skill-based sport, it also builds community and combats loneliness through shared matches, rallies, and post-court hangs.

On top of the mental boost, tennis is a weight-bearing sport that helps maintain strong bones and support healthy bone density as you age, especially when combined with strength training. The best part? You don’t have to be a pro to get the benefits—show up, have fun, chase a few balls, laugh at the shanks, and enjoy moving your body with good people.
