Galloping into Spring!

From Fall Into Fire In my recent baking blog, I talked about how Fall melted away from me like butter on a hot knife. On the positive side, I produced my first-ever play for the Hollywood Short + Sweet theater festival. At the same time, I was also dealing with a lot in my personal life.

What a gift to have “The Insanity of Color” included in Unplugged, a private festival. It was a perfect way to top off this iteration of the play. Made new friends and fellow creatives in this space of joy and honoring the creative spirit.

Dress Rehearsal before Sunday’s slotted semifinals of The Hollywood Short and Sweet Finals …

Humbled to have made it this far … honored to be counted among the other shows in our slot, all of which are so well written and acted.

Grateful that The Insanity of Color will be seen again in front of a whole new audience.

Art expansive… theater is collaborative … and the moment that stands out for me from tonight is watching two of the actors from the last play tell the marvelous Michelle Merring how they stopped talking when she took the stage and didn’t speak the entire time she performed. I’m told there will be several members of the industry present at Sunday’s performance and I know they will all be eating out of her hand. She has taken the words as they’ve flowed off the page toward her and given birth to a beautiful story on stage.

No matter what happens on Sunday, this has been an amazing experience that will be a bright star in the constellation of my writing career, and I’m blessed to have such talented people on this journey with me. ✨
