What if the reason many people struggle to hear God isn’t because He is silent… but because they are only seeking Him with part of their heart?

Jeremiah 29:13 is God’s invitation to move beyond casual Christianity and into wholehearted pursuit.

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
— Jeremiah 29:13 KJV

Jeremiah 29:13 is not casual religion. It is a call to wholehearted pursuit.

God was speaking to people in exile, people who were displaced, disappointed, and waiting on restoration. Yet God’s promise was clear: even in a hard place, you can still find Me.

The key is this phrase:

“with all your heart.”

That means God is not looking for half-surrender, half-faith, or convenient seeking. He is calling for the whole person: mind, will, emotions, desires, obedience, trust, and worship.

This verse teaches us that God is not hiding because He is cruel. He is found by those who truly hunger for Him.

Sometimes people seek answers, blessings, healing, provision, direction, or breakthrough — but God says, “Seek Me.”

Because when you find Him, you find the source of everything your soul really needs.

Kingdom Truth

God can be found in the wilderness.
God can be found in exile.
God can be found in pain.
God can be found in confusion.
God can be found when life does not look like what you expected.

But He is found by the heart that refuses to quit seeking.

Personal Application

Do not only seek God’s hand.
Seek His heart.

Do not only seek relief.
Seek relationship.

Do not only seek a way out.
Seek the One who walks with you through it.

When your whole heart turns toward Him, Heaven responds.
