Before downloads, installing a PC game was part of the experience.

The CD-ROM tray.
The DOS commands.
The Sound Blaster setup.
The drive noises.
Then finally… the game started.

Running from Mr. Hot Dog on real Intellivision hardware 🕹️📺

That plastic slide sound hits before your brain even registers what game it is.

Yellow label. Gold directional disc. Chef Peter Pepper running from a hot dog with feelings.

I still think the Intellivision version of BurgerTime was one of the best home arcade ports of the early 80s.

And somehow that weird gold disc controller made this game feel PERFECT.
