We have been busy in the last two days, we have donated 400 FIT tests to the Oakland Firefighters Cancer Prevention Foundation for their Second Annual Cancer Screening Event, and we have also approved funding for 19 colonoscopies for the low income, underinsured and uninsured populations in the Greater Bay Area. To date, we have funded $2 Million and growing, for early CRC screenings!

SFL is celebrating it’s 16th Annual Dinner, Dance & Auction on May 11th in memory of Dylan Cappel who died of colon cancer at the age of 23 years.
The proceeds raised are used to fund colon cancer screenings for individuals in our communities who otherwise could not afford to be screened for colon cancer. If you would like to volunteer and support this great cause, attend our event or donate an auction item go to

Big congratulations to our good friend Carolyn Britten! She wrote the children’s book “I, Zoe” about appreciation, love, and loss.
