🍦🍨 Ice Cream Social Fun! 🍨🍦

Today, our children had a sweet surprise when Mr. Softee stopped by for our Ice Cream Social! 🍦😋 Everyone enjoyed cooling off with a delicious treat while spending time with their friends on this warm summer day.

There were lots of smiles, laughter, and happy faces all around! ❤️ Thank you to Mr. Softee for helping make today such a fun and memorable experience for all of our children.

🫧 Messy Play = Meaningful Learning! 🫧

Today our little learners had an amazing time exploring shaving cream sensory play—and while it may look like just fun, they were building so many important developmental skills!

✨ Through shaving cream play, children are developing:
🤍 Fine motor skills by squeezing, spreading, and drawing
🤍 Hand-eye coordination through purposeful movements
🤍 Early writing and pre-writing skills by practicing letters, shapes, and lines
🤍 Sensory processing by exploring different textures in a safe, engaging way
🤍 Creativity and imagination through open-ended play
🤍 Language development as they describe what they feel, see, and create
🤍 Social skills by sharing materials, taking turns, and working alongside friends
🤍 Confidence through exploration and independent discovery

At LIFE Four Corners Child Development Center, we believe that play is one of the most powerful ways children learn. Every messy moment is an opportunity to build skills, spark curiosity, and create joyful memories.

As we wrap up an amazing school year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Burlington City Public Schools for partnering with us during the first year of hosting a Pre-K classroom at LIFE Four Corners Child Development Center.

It has truly been a privilege to welcome your students, teachers, and families into our building each day. Watching the children learn, grow, build friendships, and reach new milestones has been a joy. This partnership has created a wonderful sense of community and has strengthened our shared commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education for Burlington City’s youngest learners.
