Our mission is to clean and protect our ocean through scientific research, outreach, education, and cleanups.
Cleaning up is only half the story. Once we gather and catalog the debris, the task becomes removing it all from the island.
This can come in many forms, from barges to landing crafts, to small boats, all of which depends on the shoreline conditions. No matter the method, it takes adaptability and some elbow grease 💪

It's not every day that a cleanup begins with lambs, but the one we conducted on Nash Islands sure did!
In collaboration with Maine Island Trail Association, Surfrider Foundation Maine Chapter, and island caretaker Alfie Wakeman, our crews removed over 6,000 pounds of debris from the shore.
