Havik Performance always coming in clutch at the last minute! We love Michael Kuchavik Jr. and his team for always delivering! They powder coated and rebuilt a set of calipers for a friend of ours… our friend needed customized brake fittings for the install and we were all out… Havik rush delivered in time 🙂. Install went easy with the new fittings… brakes bled and ready to rock and roll at the track now!

Also check the pics for size difference on gen3:4:5 rotors between front and back… good info to store away on hub size.

Viper Tech Tip for those driving Gen3-5 vipers in the rain… Dodge doesn’t carry the stock wipers in stock…

For a backup, head to autozone and purchase Bosche prime active pa16 and pa18 blades. Pickup a few zip ties as well. The wiper will slot in but use zip ties as secondary retention on the blades 🙂

Doesn’t look as clean but it’ll do the job in a pinch!

Late-Night Battles with Viper Works! 🐍🌙

This one took us way deep into the night... We recently went mobile to tackle a Gen2 GTS that was making awful metal clashing noises while driving and refusing to shift into ALL gears once warmed up.

The History: The owner had changed the master cylinder, and within the last two years, had a new clutch and slave cylinder installed. We planned to drop the transmission to see what we could find, knowing we’d likely be changing the needle bearing and possibly the slave and clutch.

The Teardown: We were absolutely flying at first. Just 1 hour into this mobile job, we already had everything out—drive shaft, transmission, bell housing, interior bits, you name it. 🏎️💨

The Nightmare: Then, we found the culprit: a completely destroyed needle bearing and slave cylinder bearing.

What should have been a smooth 3-hour turnaround turned into a 6+ hour battle because the bearing was essentially "welded" to the engine. We threw the absolute kitchen sink at it. Bearing pullers, the bread method, chisels, hammers, a Dremel, pliers... getting this guy out nearly took our souls, but Viper Works didn't back down! Ultimately, we cut the bearing and smashed the bearing onto itself before it split free.🛠️💀

🛑 VIPER WORKS PSA:
Always use the OEM Mopar bearing 0053128223-001 (5300 9181 AB -001). Aftermarket bearings have far too much play on the input shaft and may lead to nightmares like this!

Got a stubborn Viper issue? We've got the patience (and the tools) to get it done right.

Talk about a first time for everything! 🐍💨

We had an absolute treat at Viper Works tonight. After 12 long years of waiting, we finally broke the factory seal and gave this gorgeous 2014 GTS her very first oil change!

With only 757 miles on the dash, this snake is barely out of the wrapper. We drained that vintage 2014 factory-fill juice (pulled an oil sample to see how it aged, naturally) and carefully saved the original factory filter for the new owner's display case.

But here’s the absolute best part: the new owner isn’t putting her back in a climate-controlled museum timeout. They are actually going to DRIVE and ENJOY her! We absolutely love to see a garage queen finally get to stretch her legs. We just need to get through her other fluids and let her be enjoyed :)

What an absolute beauty!

We had an interesting one last night! 🐍🔧

We were working on a ‘96 Viper GTS that came in with a couple of tricky electrical gremlins.

The Turn Signal Mystery:
All the lights were working perfectly… except for the rear passenger turn signal. We broke out the multimeter and confirmed power was flowing through the wire, which pointed us straight to the bulb adaptor. We did a quick bypass test and the light fired right up! A little sandpaper to clean up the contacts on the adaptor, and voila—she’s flashing perfectly again. 💡

The Multifunction Switch:
The car was also having intermittent issues with the multifunction switch. Relays and fuses were all good. The culprit? The plug-in was just too loose. We tightened up the back screw to secure the connection, and now everything is operating exactly as it should. ⚙️

Two separate issues, both successfully tracked down and fixed! She’s ready to pass road inspection now. 🏁
