We all have our ups and downs with the Lord. I have had mine too. While I’ve never turned my back on my faith, I have certainly put God on the back burner before. There are times when the shadows creep in, and I’ve let them shade my light. I think it is only natural for us to sway sometimes. But the one true thing I know is that God always shows back up right when I need Him to.
Since the day I joined the Disciples pro team, I have seen God working overtime behind the scenes. It is amazing to me how much He can accomplish in my life when I finally just sit back, let go, and allow Him to take over. I keep thinking of the verse about the birds of the air. They do not worry because God provides for them, and that is exactly how He is working in my life right now.
I don’t look at any situation as a bad thing anymore. I don’t see bad outcomes. I believe with all my heart that everything happening is for the greater good of me, my family, and my true friends. I believe that about the team I’m on too. I am a daughter of the highest King, and I trust that He will only open the doors I am meant to walk through.
I know that He will surround me with the right people because He wants me to be loved and He wants me to show love. It is a beautiful thing to realize that God works through me without me even lifting a finger to try. Over these last two months, I have sat back and watched with new eyes as the old pieces fell apart. I watched as God replaced every single one of them with something perfect. I am a walking example of faith and a living witness to the miracles He can perform.
