Anyone have experience with Vertex tax compliant software? We've been with Avalara for 2 years but now it appears Vertex may have been a better choice for sales tax compliance. Anyone have any experience with Vertex?

IF AVALARA REQUIRES A KEYCODE CHANGE, your transaction reporting from e-commerce to Avalara may default to off. This means you will continue to collect sales tax but it won't be reported to Avalara and your returns will be too low. In essence, you will be collecting tax and not paying to the state. If this happens to you, amendments will have to be filed which is a costly procedure followed by penalties and interest from the state. Check your transactions often!
