The first ever UPG Summer Kickoff Co****le Tournament took place during our first summer picnic of the season. Lots of fun was had by all! Congrats to our big winners, Dilbert, Glass Cutter and Dave, Receiver! Well played everyone!

We are looking for a Driver to transport our highly fragile products in a safe and timely manner.
Driver responsibilities include:
-Loading/Unloading of product
-Utilizing Electronic Driver Log technology for any company driving
-Coordinating daily routes with Logistics Manager based on road and traffic conditions
The ultimate task of a Driver for United Plate Glass, however, is to provide excellent customer service during every delivery. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations.

Position Requirements:

-Proven experience as a Driver
-Be a team player
-A valid driver’s license
-A clean driving record
-Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
-Ability to lift 45lbs regularly and up to 75lbs occasionally
-Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
-A polite and professional disposition
-A high school diploma/GED

As an employee of United Plate Glass, you will be part of a family-owned and operated company, with history in the Butler area going back to 1981. Our company prides itself on providing excellent customer service, as well as exceptional quality products.

For our production positions, you would be working in a glass fabrication facility utilizing various equipment working within different departments to manufacture glass products for outside customers. All production workers are responsible for working safely in an industrial facility and following all company policies/procedures.
Positions available include:
-Glass Cutter
-Loader/Packer
-Glass Seamer (sanding edges of cut, sharp glass)
-Tempering Operator (create safety glass)
-Polisher

Qualifications:

Ability to read a tape measure accurately-REQUIRED
Ability to lift 45lbs regularly and up to 75lbs occasionally
Ability to read English

The UPG QUALITY CONTROL role is to ensure that products coming through the Heavy Glass department are being checked for deficiencies and are evaluated, for producing the highest quality products. This individual is responsible for managing all aspects of Safety, Tracking, Quality, Equipment, Preventative Maintenance (PM), and 5S.

Key Responsibilities Include:
-Ensuring Safety Practices and Procedures
-Resolving Product Issues
-Managing flow of product through department
-Expediting orders as needed
-Communicating UPG's Glass Inspection Standards
