Join us for the Maridon Book Club on Thursday, July 30 at 3:00 p.m. as we dig into "We Do Not Part" by Nobel Prize winner Han Kang. This lyrical novel explores friendship, memory, and resilience across generations. It's the kind of book that sparks a great conversation. https://bit.ly/4ww5563

Step inside the Side Gallery and meet two of our most beloved residents -- a pair of Meiji Period black lacquer panels dating from 1867 to 1912.

These extraordinary panels are adorned with mother-of-pearl birds and flowers and Indian elephant ivory carved into flowering trees -- materials drawn from forest, ocean, and land. Museum founder Mary H. Phillips welcomed them into her home in April 1974, and they held a place of honor in her entrance hall for thirty years before finding their permanent home here.

She visited them every day until she passed away in 2009. Her love for this collection lives on in every gallery.

Come see them for yourself. We are open Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Great art has a way of passing from one generation to the next, just like great dads do. This Father's Day, we celebrate the fathers who inspire wonder and teach us to look a little closer at the world around us. Happy Father's Day from The Maridon Museum.

A Milestone Exhibit is Coming to The Maridon Museum!

This summer, we are proud to present a special display of personal items from our founder, Mary Hulton Phillips, and the Phillips family, as part of the Steeples and Stacks Heritage Weekend.

Mary and her husband, Donald, were members of the T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil Company family, a cornerstone of the Butler community. That company lives on today as Peoples TWP, still serving our region.
