✨ Meet Contestant #8, EmaLee Gainous.

EmaLee Gainous is the 17-year-old daughter of Tommy and Amanda Gainous and a rising senior at Cairo High School. After graduation, she plans to attend Valdosta State University, where she hopes to pursue a degree in Speech Pathology and make a difference in the lives of others through communication and education.

An active student and leader, EmaLee is involved in numerous organizations, including Syrup City Performing Arts, National Honor Society, Cairo Youth Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Key Club, Helping Hands, MAT Girls, and Stage Makers. Through these activities, she has developed a passion for service, leadership, and community involvement. EmaLee has been recognized for her academic achievements as a recipient of the Georgia Certificate of Merit for the Class of 2027. She is committed to excellence both in the classroom and in the organizations she serves.

Outside of school, EmaLee gives back to her community as a unified partner with the Grady County Special Olympics, serves with Jackie Robinson Boys and Girls Club of Grady County, and volunteers with the Grady County Sheriff’s Office. Her dedication to helping others reflects her compassionate spirit and strong sense of community.

EmaLee is excited to participate in Miss Syrup City because it is a new experience that will allow her to meet new people, build friendships, and grow as an individual. She looks forward to learning more about pageantry while representing her community with pride.

✨ Meet Contestant #7, Najah Saadiq.

Najah Saadiq is the 17-year-old daughter of Khalil Saadiq and Chantrell Bruton. She is a rising senior at Cairo High School with a passion for service, leadership, and making a difference in the lives of others. Following graduation, she plans to major in Neuroscience before attending medical school, where she hopes to become a Family Rural Health Physician.

Najah’s leadership and academic accomplishments include being selected as a Youth LEAD Georgia delegate at the University of Georgia and representing her community as a Washington Youth Tour delegate. These opportunities have strengthened her commitment to leadership, service, and civic engagement.

Dedicated to giving back, Najah has completed more than 100 volunteer hours at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and an additional 50 volunteer hours with Hands On Thomas County. Her passion for serving others reflects her desire to make a meaningful impact both locally and beyond.

Najah hopes to become Miss Syrup City because she wants to represent her community through kindness, leadership, and service. To her, the title is more than a crown—it is an opportunity to inspire others, give back to the community she loves, and proudly showcase all that Cairo stands for.
