Do you know that there are more than one or two ways to help a foster child?
Many people just do not know how they fit in helping the kids in foster care. There are many things about foster care people do not understand. If you want to help in it is on your heart do not let your fears stop you. Ask here! Maybe your fears will be confirmed but there will be a chance that your fear is only a misconception. I met a couple wanting to foster but the did not want teenagers because they did not want to be responsible for paying for their collage. Guess what, foster kids go to collage for free! Their fear was no longer a fear and they went on to foster teens. Just Ask!

Most foster kids are in foster care because of neglect, which means they were never taught how to take care of their hygiene.
