We are proud to support Girls Can Camp, an inspiring program designed to introduce young female students to the exciting opportunities available in the skilled trades. Throughout the camp, participants gain hands-on exposure to construction, welding, and electrical careers while building confidence and developing valuable skills.
The camp focuses on empowering young women by showing them that these high-demand fields offer rewarding career paths and limitless potential for success. Students also had the opportunity to hear from industry professionals representing companies such as Carmeuse and Brasfield & Gorrie, who shared insights into their careers and discussed the growing opportunities for women in their industries.
A special thank you to our guest speakers and industry partners for investing in the next generation of female leaders and helping our students explore future career possibilities. We are excited to see these young women continue to break barriers and pursue their goals with confidence.

What an incredible year it has been for Career & Technical Education in Shelby County Schools! 🎉

This school year, our CTE students have continued to excel through hands-on learning, industry certifications, workforce development opportunities, career exploration, leadership experiences, internships, and real-world skill building that will prepare them for success far beyond the classroom.

From healthcare and engineering to welding, business, education, agriculture, culinary arts, and skilled trades, our students have demonstrated hard work, innovation, creativity, and determination every single day. We are so proud of the accomplishments they have achieved and the bright futures they are building.
