✨ World Su***de Prevention Day ✨

Today is a reminder that behind every statistic is a real person with a story, a family, and a future that matters. More than 700,000 people die by su***de each year — but su***de is preventable. And prevention doesn’t just belong to professionals; it belongs to all of us.

If you’ve ever struggled with thoughts of su***de, please hear this—you are not weak, you are not a burden, and your life has value beyond measure. The world needs you here, even if your mind sometimes tells you otherwise.

And if you’ve ever wondered how to help someone you care about — it can be as simple (and as powerful) as starting a conversation. Asking “Are you okay?” or “Are you thinking about su***de?” won’t put the idea in someone’s head. It shows them they don’t have to carry their pain alone. Listening without judgment, staying present, and helping them connect to support can truly save a life.

Hope doesn’t always come in grand gestures. Sometimes it’s in a text that says, “I’m thinking of you.” A call that says, “Let’s get coffee.” A reminder: “You matter to me.” Small moments of connection ripple out further than we can see.

Today, let’s commit to changing the narrative around su***de. Let’s talk about it openly, without shame. Let’s remind people that reaching out is a strength, not a weakness. Let’s be the reason someone remembers that there is still hope, still light, still tomorrow.

💛 If you are struggling today: In the U.S., dial or text 988 for free, confidential support. If you’re outside the U.S., please look up your local crisis line — you deserve help and you deserve to be here.

You are not alone. You are loved. And your story is not finished yet.
