Lots of grass! I love this time of year. So do they! Would like to process a steer but all of the good processors are backed up 2-3 months. In the meantime, they will enjoy the grass!

Been feeding my cattle alfalfa cubes about 1 to 2 times a week. They are CRAZY about them. I came up with that idea myself because I didn't want to feed them anything but grass. And here it proof, finally, that I might have been right:

Exactly what we have been saying.
The "IMPOSSIBLE" Truth About Fake Meat vs. Grassfed Beef is that White Oak Pastures certified grassfed cattle are much better at reducing greenhouse gas than plant-based protein sources. At least 3.5 pounds of carbon is being stored in our soil for every pound of White Oak Pastures beef you purchase. Impossible Foods' Life Cycle Assessment shows how industrial farming of GMO-soy or peas for their meat substitute releases at least 3.5 lbs of carbon dioxide equivalent for every pound of fake meat that is consumed.
The irony is you'd have to eat almost exactly one pound of our grassfed beef to offset the carbon emitted from eating a pound of their stuff made from commodity crops.
