We launched both Hermes III and the Staging Demonstrator at Friends of Amateur Rocketry on Saturday, February 1st! Hermes III reached ~7900 feet and Mach 3.2 just before the fin can broke at a fillet. The staging demonstrator flight had a beautiful second stage separation & ignition, with the booster reaching ~13000 feet, and the sustainer reaching ~32000 feet. Thanks to coordinated efforts from both launch site and away teams, almost all hardware from both flights was found, and is on its way back to campus. Data analysis is ongoing for both flights, videos to come.
