At Basic Systems, we’re proud to welcome a talented group of interns and value the opportunity to help students gain real-world experience in their field. We’ll be spotlighting the interns who have joined our team and sharing more about their backgrounds, accomplishments, and experiences with us.

🎉 Congratulations to our 2026 Basic Systems, Inc., Engineering Scholarship recipient, Addysen Sichina! 🎉

Basic is proud to continue our tradition of supporting the next generation of engineers in our local community through our annual scholarship program for graduating seniors pursuing a degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering at ABET-accredited colleges and universities.

This year our scholarship winner is Addysen Sichina, a 2026 graduate from Meadowbrook High School. She plans to attend West Virginia University in Fall 2026 to pursue a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. She is graduating with a 4.0 GPA and a distinct honor of Summa Cum Laude. She has hopes to one day become a Project Manager for a construction company or serve as a county engineer.

At Basic, we believe investing in local students strengthens our communities and helps build the future of the engineering students. Supporting talented students like Addysen not only celebrates academic achievement, but helps create better opportunities for future engineering professionals!

Basic Systems would like to give a big "Thank You" to Miranda, Junaid, and Sam for spending their evening at Cambridge Primary’s STEM night. They made creative, fun and interesting frog-themed activities to support our local districts efforts to interest and educate future engineers!
