I.M. Pei '40, master architect who designed the MIT Green Building and the MIT Media Lab, dies at the age of 102.
I.M. Pei, World-Renowned Architect, Is Dead at 102 Mr. Pei, a committed modernist, was one of the few architects equally attractive to real estate developers, corporate chieftains and art museum boards.

Happy birthday Dad!
Home to the MIT Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, I.M.Pei finished my construction in 1964. I have 18 floors and stand 295 feet (90 m) tall, making me the tallest building in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Pei is among the world's most noted architects, and received his bachelor's degree from in 1940.
