📚 Chicago Style Tip
A very common issue in CMoS dissertations is the use of “Ibid.”
🕰️ Old rule:
Earlier versions of the Chicago Manual of Style (CMoS) used Ibid. when the same source was cited multiple times in a row.
💻 New rule:
With the rise of digital submissions, CMoS now requires a shortened citation format instead.
✅ Correct:
1. Lastname, "Shortened Title," pp.
❌ Incorrect:
2. Ibid., pp.
