With a goal of democratizing finance, Robinhood's commission-free and user friendly interface played a large part to the rapidly growing interest in the while many millennials and Zoomers were stuck at home. In Q1 of 2020 alone, the app introduced over 3 million first-time traders to the market and saw a spike in activity with total users trading anywhere between 9 to 40x as many shares as its competitors.
