It’s been a wild 24+ hours. For those who may not have seen, we got hit with a crazy 10 minute storm with 70mph winds, causing much of the lake area to lose power. We were out for about 30 hours, but very grateful that we did not have significant damage.

To our guests who stuck it out with us and were so very kind during a very stressful time, we thank you so so much. To those who reached out via text and social media to check on us, that simple gesture meant the world to us. And to the folks at Reinhold Electric and Ellerman Roofing and Construction who were here within hours to make sure we were safe… there is a reason we rely on the best.

Happy to be going to bed tonight with everything secure and a plan to fix those things that still need fixing. We are truly blessed.

The Fourth of July has always been about more than fireworks.

It's about slowing down and spending time with the people who matter most. It's kids running around barefoot, laughter carrying across the water, boat rides, cookouts, and staying outside long after the sun goes down.
