Meet: Bailey
3 year old Female
Located in: Ohio

Bailey is the sweetest girl and has quite the personality! Most fosters come to us without knowing anything about being loved or being an inside dog, and that is Bailey. This sweetheart has learned so much, but will need a very patient family to love her. She is still quite timid and has some fear of men. She still jumps at loud noises and is spooked easily.

She was scared to death of doors and doorways and was a huge challenge to get her to even go thru them. She has come a long way, but still likes to be the only one going thru a door. She will also need work with potty training. We have a doggie door for my dogs and because of her fear of doors she will not go thru it, which is fine. She goes outside no problem, she still needs to learn how to let you know. I do use p*e pads while I’m at work and if she has to go she will use them. I let her out frequently so I’ve never really had much of an issue.

She is very food motivated! She and my other Berner, know exactly when its time to eat and they both will stand and bark at me until I feed them. She has also learned what treats are, she loves them! She loves to be pet and loved on but hasn’t figured out furniture yet, she tends to lay in her safe spot. But she definitely is out and about much more than when I first got her. I have 3 other dogs and they all get along just fine. She also does pretty well on a leash, unfortunately I haven’t had much opportunity to get in daily walks because of the winter weather, but I think she will be fine. She also is good in the car, sometimes afraid to jump in, again because of the door, but she will just lay down and enjoy the ride.

She is a sweet girl and will make an amazing companion to the right family who is willing to be patient, understanding, & loving.
