Welcome to the Jaguar Identification Project! We use citizens science to identify and study jaguar ecology in the Northern Pantanal, Porto Jofre -MT Brazil
๐ Today is World Environmental Education Day! ๐พ
January 26 marks a day dedicated to learning about our natural world and inspiring actions that protect it. Since 1975, this day has encouraged people everywhere to grow their knowledge, shape attitudes, and take positive steps for the environment.
At Jaguar ID Project, education is at the heart of everything we do. Through science, storytelling, and community engagement, we strive to deepen understanding of jaguars ๐ โ one of the Pantanalโs most iconic species โ and the ecosystems they depend on.
๐ธ In 2025 we delivered 41 Jaguar Info Talks, connecting with over 600 curious minds eager to learn about jaguar behavior, conservation, and how we can all make a difference. Education empowers us to care โ and caring leads to action. ๐
Letโs continue to learn, protect, and respect the incredible natural world we share โ from the Pantanal wetlands to every corner of the planet. ๐ฟ
