With spring break upon the Park, plans for traveling are unfolding. However, just because students are ready for vacation doesn’t mean the destination is prepared to welcome them.
Mexico has been under fire recently as of February 22 when Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, otherwise known as “El Mencho,” the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, was killed by the Mexican government.
Following the operation, turmoil swept throughout the country, causing transportation and travel to be significantly disrupted.

The ability to collaborate across differing cultural and social backgrounds is a skill refined daily within these halls. To examine this, students reflected on specific instances by answering this question: Tell me about a time you had to work with people of different backgrounds and what you learned from it.

Stella Wroblewski, Salem freshman, started cheering on the sidelines during fall of 2025. She always shows up to practice with a positive attitude, said Angelena Cassar, Salem Varsity Cheer Coach. She is currently cheering for the basketball team. The Perspective sat down with Wroblewski to discuss her experiences on the cheer team so far and how they execute different stunts.
