Honestly, we wish this wasn’t a conversation we still had to have.
Because buying from a puppy mill isn’t just purchasing a puppy. It’s funding a system that requires mother dogs to spend their lives producing litter after litter with little regard for their physical or emotional well-being.
The puppy and the mother are not separate stories.
One does not exist without the other.
We often hear people say, “But the puppy needed a home.”
And that’s true. They do.
But the reality is that every puppy purchased creates demand for another litter. Another mother. Another cycle.
You cannot rescue a puppy from a puppy mill by buying it. You are purchasing the product the system was designed to create.
This isn’t about judgment. It’s about awareness.
Whether you choose to rescue or purchase from a responsible breeder, please ask questions. Please do your research. Please think beyond the puppy in front of you and consider the life that made that puppy possible.
Because when demand changes, the industry changes.
And until then, the mothers continue to pay the price.
Know better. Do better. Demand better for dogs.

We believe in being a transparent rescue, but it’s hard to capture just how much happens in such a short period.
From transport pickups and vet checks to filming content and caring for our animals, Saturday mornings are a whirlwind. Somehow, our incredible team makes it all look effortless.

Ever wonder why some rescue pups have little blue tattoos? 🐾
Because of the overpopulation crisis in the South, many shelters spay or neuter every dog that enters their care. After surgery, they’re given a small blue tattoo to show they’ve already been fixed. If they ever end up back in the shelter system, staff can quickly identify that they don’t need the procedure again.

☀️ MEET THE NEW ENGLAND SUMMER LITTER ☀️
Found on the side of a road in Georgia and brought to a local shelter, this group was looking for a second chance when we got the call. Thankfully, they made the journey north and now their future is looking a whole lot brighter.
These squishy pittie babies are everything we love: happy, affectionate, goofy, and completely convinced that every person and every dog they meet is their new best friend. They are thriving in foster care and getting ready to start the best chapter of their lives.
