Many of you may not know the person behind the scenes that keeps the Blue Ridge Ultra happening each year, but Charlie Wolfe the owner the Iron Bridge General Store & Cafe was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on May 15, 2026..
Charlie helped and organized the entire location where the event is held each year, from the parking to the finish line area. Always giving back, helping when anyone needs anything, bringing tourists food to cabins when they’re snowed in, pulling people out of ditches, checking people’s pipes during the winter, taking care of their pets, etc.

Now it's time for us to help him and his family.

While he and his wife have basic insurance, insurance only covers so much when it comes to a minimum of 3 doctor visits a week, chemotherapy treatments, co-pays, medication costs, the cost of gas to drive to these appointments every week, and much, much more. This all adds up. His wife, Kimberly Wolfe, not only has to pay for all of that with Charlie, but her mother also has cancer and a lot of the same issues lie there. Kim has been hit hard with the expenses of both Charlie and her mother’s medical bills.

Kim and Charlie have changed the meaning of the “Aska Adventure Area” in Blue Ridge, GA, and it is our time to give back and try and give them a little bit of relief.
