These images show a diesel particulate filter (DPF) contaminated with coolant. The inlet side of the filter has a distinct pink residue, a common sign of coolant exposure, along with loose soot buildup. In most cases, the DPF will need to be replaced. Additionally, it’s important to check the diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system for face plugging or contamination, as coolant exposure can cause further damage to the aftertreatment system.”
