Life is the first gift; we receive with our first breath

Love comes shortly after, when we feed at our mother‘s breast

*These two essentials are all we really need, as we travel down the pathway, wherever our lives lead.

They give us spirit deep down in our soul, if love is missing from our heart, then life is not quite whole.

Remember life, is just breath and beating of the heart, but without love, living cannot start.

They are the reason dad works a second shift, just to pay the mortgage and to buy those Christmas gifts.

They are the reason mamma's up for the third time, to rock the baby that’s teething in the night.

They are the reason that soldiers fight, and die and bleed, so their loved ones back at home will always remain free.

These are the things that give us an iron will, when our back against the wall, our spine becomes like steel.

*These two essentials are all we really need, as we travel down the pathway, wherever our lives lead.

They give us spirit deep down in our soul, if love is missing from our heart, then life is not quite whole.

Remember life, is just breath and beating of the heart, but without love, living cannot start.

They make the sunrise, give us hope again, to go out into the world and produce whatever we can.

They make us give everything we got, to our loved ones so they will never want.

Just remember if in joy or misery, all the things you accumulate, are just accessories

These two things, of which I am here to speak, are the only gifts direct from God to both the strong and weak.

They make the sunset so easy on the eyes, the turning of the earth full circle makes us realize.

That we do not ever, really have control, so in the end all we can do is go with how life rolls.
