Friday, September 30, the Sickle Cell Coalition of Maryland and the American Red Cross are hosting a blood drive.

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.

Samuel P. Massie Academy is hosting a free food giveaway sponsored by The Community Schools Office partnered with The Bowie Produce Company Today from 9:30am - 11:30am (while quantities last).

This event is in addition to the regularly scheduled monthly food distributions.
