As a parent, you know just how fast time goes. Some days I feel overwhelmed, and tired of all the noise. But in those moments I try to stop and get out of my own head and look around for a second. There’s people that would love to have a loud house full of kiddos, and I know when I’m older and they are moved out and living with their own families, these are the moments I’m going to miss.

Yesterday was perfect and and I had so much fun celebrating our little Helios 🌞

It ain’t easy being a dad. That’s for sure. Combine that with studying physics at UCSD, running a small business, work, and all the normal life s**t that needs to be done… and you’ve got yourself one packed schedule. But the way I look at it? I’ve got a full life. People chase retirement. But I’m chasing right now because this weird block of time that we have between our 20s and 60s is the best time in our lives. Right now is what matters. So no matter how busy I get I make sure to slow. it. down. Let the little moments last as long as possible.

This is what being rich looks like.

There’s so many things that we chase because we think “if I just have that, it’ll change everything.” And unless we’re talking about winning the lottery, there’s not much that makes that statement true. Real change comes from consistency. Putting in the work each and every day. Everyone’s work looks different, but the important thing is staying consistent. It’s okay to fail and it’s okay to quit and try something new. I’ve failed at many things in my life, and I still do. But I keep moving forward and take things one step at a time. Kinda like running:

Pace doesn’t matter. Endurance does. Keep going 🏃🏻
