Oh just thinking about our trip to today. The simple wonders of this pristine river and exposing my kids to the beauty of really warmed the sole.

The past couple of weeks I’ve been torn on what to do about school.
My two kiddos are completely different with unique needs.
My daughter is a very sweet introspective young lady that follows the rules and needs her alone time.
My son is this larger than life personality that thrives on social time and being pushed.
Neither thrived with distance learning. My daughter got lost voice wise and lost motivation. My son retreated mentally and broke down which was not him often. Their reactions were so hard to swallow and I vowed to make things better no matter what.
Then the moment came and we had to make a decision to stay with public school or find other options. We chose other options. Then days before school started panic and regret set in. The anxiety and worry set in. I teetered on what to do. There were so many unknowns. So many negatives to all options. There was added expense for one child. More time commitment for the other. Was I making the right decision?
At the end of the multi-day battle in my head I came to the conclusion that I can only make the best decisions based on what I know. And I’ve come to terms with giving myself grace in these times.
Something really great happened today. My son told me, “Mom, I’m really glad you made that choice for me. Today was a good day.”
Have faith in your self and be flexible in life.
