Damascus Road
Paul did not ask to be knocked off his horse.
On the road to Damascus, light suddenly shone around him and he fell to the ground.
Acts 9:3
He did not plan that encounter.
The encounter came to him.
Some of the most defining moments of faith were never chosen — they were interruptions.
A suddenly can knock you down and still be the mercy of God.
Blindness sometimes comes before sight.
The Damascus road was not a detour from Paul’s calling. It was the beginning of it.
God does not only work through the plans we make.
He works through the moments that make us.
If you were knocked off course by something you never saw coming, you may be standing exactly where your calling begins.

What suddenly in your life turned out to be a beginning, not just an ending?
At 3 AM, Jesus appeared walking on water. Terrified disciples thought it was a ghost. Then Jesus calmed their fears, saying, 'Don't be afraid, take courage.' He joined them, and the storm ceased, leaving them amazed.
