Date with a purpose.

You deserve someone who has plans on marrying you one day.

You deserve to find someone who understands love is not a game. It’s actually an investment.

You know, as a person dating someone you should look at your partner as the mother or father of your future children.

If you can’t picture them in the aisle, walking towards you with tears in your eyes, do me a favor ..... leave them alone.

If you can’t picture the two of you building your dream home together, or leaving homemade cookies out for Santa the night before Christmas with your children, there again ..... leave them alone.

Take my advice and if you dont plan on marrying them and building a future with them, take your hands off another person's future.

A while back I flew out to Boston, Massachusetts and I attended a sermon at the TD Garden Stadium by none other than Pastor and Author Steven Furtick.

As I sit there and listened to the message, the things that he talked about was similar to what I preach about in my articles but to hear it from someone else with a different perspective really touched me in ways I've never truly experienced.

As I was leaving in an immense crowd of a thousand people, I started to recollect the times individuals used to tell me years ago " you're gonna change people's lives one day " and as soon I stepped off the escalator, I felt a tap on my right shoulder and she asked "Are you Cody?"

I replied "Yes ma'am" and she responded with " Oh my goodness, I think I have a tear in my eye! I love your articles! Do you care if I get a picture with you?"

I didn't hesitate because it's moments like these that push me to be a better writer with every day that passes.
