Our Story

Compassionate Capital Region is a resource for building caring communities at the grassroots level in collaboration with city and county government in the seven counties of Sacramento, Yolo, Sutter, Placer, El Dorado, Yuba and Nevada.

Compassionate Capital Region is a program of Chill Sacramento, a registered public charity, which provides non-profit status. Your donation is fully tax-deductible.

Compassionate Capital Region hosts facilitated conversation forums around the social issues that affect a community, city or county that can improve understanding among different points of view.

This can take the shape of:

Bringing people together for conversation and to understand one another’s story and viewpoint

Facilitating dialogue and developing relationships of trust among groups in conflict.

Providing educational public workshops on subjects such as unconscious bias, listening skills, constructive communication, and mindful leadership.
