6:12 PM - TAKE SHELTER: Carrollton's warning sirens have been activated. The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Carrollton that has the rare tag of “80 mph destructive winds.”

This is one of the few non-tornado scenarios that our regional siren framework identifies as justifying siren activation due to the risk of flying debris and serious injury to those outdoors.

The activation is NOT for a tornado warning; however, the destructive winds predicted can still be a potentially life threatening situation to those outdoors.

NOTE: High winds may cause power outages.

Bring friends, family, and floats to the Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex for a dive-in movie at Swim-In Cinema on Friday, July 15.

Open swim will be offered from 7 p.m. until dusk. The featured film, Luca (2021), PG, will begin shortly after sunset.
