The Change Companies
Miller, and Dr. James Prochaska, to name a few -- to develop evidence-based materials that assist individuals in making positive life change.
90% of residents in an independent evaluation said Atlas increased their motivation to change. 90% said it increased their confidence they could.
Those numbers came from an independent evaluation conducted on Atlas with Charities across two residential reentry centers, combining validated surveys with nearly 600 pages of resident and staff interviews.
What the interviews revealed went beyond the survey scores:
→ Residents described using Atlas's Interactive Journaling® to think through practical steps — from getting a driver's license to preparing for a job interview.
→ Parenting surfaced repeatedly as a theme, even though it wasn't part of the original survey. One parent said journaling helped them find patience they didn't know they had.
→ Digital privacy mattered. Residents said they were more honest journaling on a device than on paper others could read.
→ Staff reported saving up to six hours a week on documentation and session planning.
Valerie Bagley, Chief Program Officer at The Change Companies, framed it well: technology alone doesn't change lives — people do. Atlas is built to support that human work, not replace it.

What if writing down your hardest thoughts could support healing?
As Q2 comes to a close, we’re spotlighting one of our most-viewed blogs this quarter: Write Your Secrets: What James Pennebaker Discovered About Expressive Writing.
His studies show how writing about difficult experiences can support reflection, reduce stress and help people make sense of their stories, especially when they are not ready to say everything out loud. That is the power behind Interactive Journaling® and Atlas: structured, evidence-based writing that helps people reflect, build insight and move forward.

New collections are live in Atlas — starting with What About Ma*****na?📘
Cannabis conversations need more than substance education. They need curiosity, reflection and evidence-based support.
Relatively few clients present for treatment with ma*****na as their primary drug. Yet, cannabis is commonly used in combination with alcohol and other drugs that do bring people into treatment. What About Ma*****na? is designed to help youth and adults consider their use of cannabis and what they choose to do about it in the future.
Designed for any age, any setting, with a new animation to bring the content to life. See how Atlas helps teams deliver engaging, person-centered programming.
