Upward Bound Math Science-CSUDH

As the students approached their finals for their summer classes they had a staff led presentation on the “Importance of Mental Health in College” which ended in an engaging slime making activity. Continuing the theme of self care our students had a relaxing afternoon and ended the day with face masks in preparation for their final exams.

As we approach the end of this year’s summer program, let’s reflect on Week 5: Our students truly embraced professionalism! They kicked off the week with ‘Anything But a Backpack’ day, followed by Dress Professionally Day where they had professional headshots taken. The week continued with Career Day, STEM Day, and finished off with a tour of 🌟

Wrapping up Week 2 of our summer program: Our staff led an informative presentation on “Systems of Higher Education” and organized an engaging Jeopardy activity. Students also had a group study session to prepare for their first exam. They then rounded out the week with an insightful tour of Northrop Grumman, learning about exciting career opportunities in engineering. 🚀🎓
