In 1925, Henry Ford ventured into the skies, acquiring the design for a groundbreaking three-engine aircraft.

The Ford Trimotor became one of the first all-metal airplanes and notably, the first built specifically to carry passengers rather than just mail! Originally seating eight, later models expanded to twelve and then thirteen passengers. Its powerful three engines allowed it to fly higher and faster than its contemporaries.

Of the 199 built when production ceased in 1933, a few are still airworthy today while others are on display at museums.

Built in response to TWA's demand for faster, longer-range, and safer metal aircraft (as wooden planes were being retired), this 14-seater twin marked a huge step forward. It even led directly to the iconic DC-3!

Let's celebrate another significant moment for Cessna: the maiden flight of the Citation CJ4. This aircraft first lifted off from McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas. Deliveries started in 2010, and the CJ4 offered passengers a cabin with 21 extra inches compared to the CJ3. Its popularity is clear – the 400th CJ4 was delivered in April of 2023. A testament to Cessna's continued innovation!
