Nails did, hair did, everything did… lol
But really, I feel so girly. Half the time I keep my nails natural and the other half of the time they are covered in hair color.
I decided to treat myself and get me some fancy nails. Subtle of course, cause me. But y’all, I feel so c u t e !
I know that probably sounds silly because it’s just nails. Maybe that’s how some people feel when I talk about how good extensions make you feel? But it’s true.

C o n n e c t i o n
I have always enjoyed connecting with other people. My favorite way of connecting is having them sit in my chair. People magically become more open when they land in my chair.
There is real vulnerability and deeper conversations when someone is sitting in my chair and allowing me in their ‘bubble’. I learn so much from having the opportunity to work with such a vast range of people.
It was one of the things I missed most about work when in quarantine.
Now I’m learning a new form of connection. This form of connection make me feel more vulnerable than ever before… mentoring.
Connecting with my apprentices and helping them grow is probably one of the most kick ass things I’ve done.
It’s a lot of hard work, behind the scenes prepping/ planning, patience, attention to detail, time, and sprinkled with a little self doubt just to top it off.
But man, it’s all ducking worth it when you see the growth. When there is a visual/physical form of ‘sh*t, I helped them produce that work’. It’s what I imagine a maternal feeling would be like. So proud of my babies!
They came to me with zero experience with hair extensions and now I have two of them sewing in clean & seamless rows.intentionssalon went through school during the pandemic and never had hands on work!?! Crazy, right. But now, look at this beautiful color transformation I walked her through.
I couldn’t be more proud of the work my team is producing and how far they have come. It’s the most rewarding connection I’ve made thus far in my life.
So yeah, my conclusion is the more you work for a connection, any connection, the more you get out of it and fulfilling it can be.
